A few tips regarding your day on the water are below:

✓ Dress appropriately for summer or winter as you really can feel the weather out at sea. A warm hat can be helpful for winter and a sunhat/cap is a good idea for summer or winter.

✓ Polaroid sunglasses and sunscreen are a great idea and it’s always good to put some sunscreen on pre departure. If fishing wash the sunscreen off your hands as it can put fish off the bite.

✓ Please advise all passengers to bring only essential items. If they require quality rental fishing rods and or tackle these can be rented from us.

✓ If you want to mark your fish long coloured wire ties are a simple way to do so.

✓ We have chilli bins on board with ice in them but feel free to bring one along for your fish. If you have a group then bring a reasonable size one for every 5 people.

✓ Sea sickness pills or remedies are a good idea if required. See your local pharmacy for supplies.  I hear that sea legs and or Paihia bombs work well.  Be sure to take them as prescribed.
